It’s that time of year again! Last year, and the list still stands, I put together a roundup of spooky season / Halloween read based on level of scariness. It has everything from classics to more modern, creepy to scary.


This year for spooky season reading we’re looking at fiction books about witches! While this subject matter might seem like the stuff of YA novels, many of the recommendations below are books about witches for adults. Some are grounded in history featuring witch trials as part of their plot and others sprinkle in magic into the real world.
